Multimedia artist Gerd Koehler is featured in an appropriately titled show called “Kaleidoscope” in River Arts’ West Gallery. “Kaleidoscope” will show from Thursday, Sept. 27 to Wednesday, Oct 10. The public is invited to the gala reception on Saturday, Sept. 29 from 4-6 p.m. Members of the public are invited to come and meet the artist and enjoy refreshments.
Koehler, a longtime resident of Maine, emigrated from his native Germany and retired from a career in printing and the graphic arts, integrating new technology solutions in manufacturing, sales, and marketing organizations. He has worked in Germany, England, Switzerland, and the Americas. A varied experience in a lifetime of travel has given Koehler a unique and wide-ranging perspective in his artistic expressions.
Koehler’s photos, graphic prints, paintings, and drawings provide an array of artistic production that covers a wide range of interest and creativity. His popular photos of ocean waves interact with complex abstractions from imaginary sources in an exciting play between reality and imagination.
