The Kefauver Studio & Gallery in Damariscotta presents “The Little Holiday Show,” the seventh and final art show of the 2017 season at the gallery. The show will run from Friday, Nov. 17 through Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018.
The show will feature new work by oil painter Will Kefauver and the work of his 28 guest artists. All of the art in the show is perfect for gift-giving, with prices to suit every budget. Many pieces are miniatures, presented on tiny easels or with ribbons or jute loops for hanging on holiday trees. Original art makes a uniquely personal gift.
Four of the guest artists are new to the gallery. They are watercolorists Dudley Merritt and Kathi Nordone; sculptor Lisa Freeman; and oil painter Carolyn Gabbe.
The 24 returning guest artists are acrylic artist DiTa Ondek; sculptor Marnie Sinclair; oil painters George Baker, Marcia Brandwein, Albert Bross, Sandra Leinonen Dunn, Kim Hetherington, Lisa Kyle, Sally Loughridge, Brooke Pacy, Liliana Thelander, and Barbara Vanderbilt; photographers Jane Bowman, Claudia Noyes Griffiths, Sherie Lehman, Jim Nyce, and Laurie Raba; gouache artists Jane Bowman and Virginia Forrest; watercolorists Kathleen Horst, Jan Kilburn, Judy Nixon, and Cindy Spencer; and printmakers Deborah Kozak and Rachael Wyman.
Kefauver is the president of the Pemaquid Group of Artists, and is a signature member of the National Society of Artists and the Bristol Road Galleries in Damariscotta. He also teaches beginning and intermediate painting classes in oils and acrylics for teens and adults in his studio.
A reception will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served and there is free parking. People can come and meet the guest artists presenting “The Little Holiday Show.”
