One can stop by The Lincoln Home at 22 River Road, Newcastle, to view some amazing pieces of art from the PWA collection. The artworks are spread through the public rooms and public hall areas of The Lincoln Home and can be viewed by the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. One should not be afraid to ask at the desk for guidance in finding the art.
The pieces were generously donated to the PWA organization over the past few years. The collection includes paintings, photographs, prints, and drawings, most of which are original works of art and range in size and scope. The artists include Julie Babb, William Emrich, Michael Austin Kane, Timothy Leeman, and Doug Tweddale, and the late artists Charles Goodhue, Joseph A. Fiore, Karl Papendick, Charles Copeland, and Ron Fletcher.
All pieces are for sale and the recommended prices are posted. One hundred percent of the proceeds from sales will go to benefit the work that PWA does to conserve the natural resources of the Pemaquid River watershed.
