Midcoast Conservancy is excited to announce the sixth annual Live Edge Music Festival on Sunday, Aug. 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Four Maine bands will rock the barn at Hidden Valley Nature Center in Jefferson with a fabulous lineup of local music. A limited number of advance tickets are on sale now and come with an enticing offer.
If one purchases a ticket for $20, one will get a coupon good for up to $20 on a second entree at any of 13 participating restaurants: Newcastle Publick House, Damariscotta River Grill, Montsweag Roadhouse, Salt Pine Social, The Slipway, Rhumb Line, Frontier Cafe, Rock Harbor Pub & Brewery, A-1 Diner, Cloud 9, Savory Maine, The Liberal Cup, and Slates.
The band lineup promises a toe-tapping day of tunes: the Oshima Brothers, The Gawler Family, Primo Cubano, and the Boneheads, a Rolling Stones cover band, will all bring their musical talents to the Live Edge stage. The Surimem Belly Dance Troupe will also be performing. Between acts, explore the nearly 30 miles of trails at Hidden Valley Nature Center.
There will be food on sale from the Alna General Store and Harvest Moon, along with beer from Allagash, Geary’s, and The Liberal Cup. Tickets are on sale at the Midcoast Conservancy office, Sheepscot General, the Alna General Store, Mexicali Blues, or online at midcoastconservancy.org/events/live-edge-music-festival-82017. Advance ticket sales are limited.
