Mark Malinowski, of Bristol, and Erica O’Rourke, of New Harbor, are two of the five oil painters exhibiting at the Saltwater Artists Gallery this year.
Malinowski began drawing at an early age and took up oil painting during the pandemic while still pursuing a career in a different field.
O’Rourke earned a scholastic gold medal at age 16 and has worked as an artist ever since. After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, she had a successful career in the New York City publishing industry as a designer and illustrator. She continues creating in a number of fields.
The Saltwater Artists Gallery will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, May 31 – June 3 and June 7-10 before opening for the season full time Friday, June 14. The gallery is located at 3056 Bristol Road (Route 130) in New Harbor, just 1/4 mile before the Pemaquid Lighthouse.
