Join musicians from the Grammy-nominated, musician-led nonprofit string ensemble Palaver Strings for an evening performance of their program “Outlook” on Thursday, April 2 at Wanderwood, 79 Sidelinger Road in Nobleboro.
Doors open at 6 p.m. The performance will take place from 7:15-8:30 p.m. in Wanderwood’s events barn. Guests are encouraged to come early and linger afterward to socialize, sip on some wine, and enjoy snacks with fellow concertgoers and the musicians.
“Outlook’ explores different perspectives on life and chamber music. Described as a “fervent, celebratory investigation into joy itself,” Paul Wiancko’s “Lift” bursts with adventurous textures that span the full sonic range of the string quartet. The program continues with a beautiful arrangement of a Danish String Quartet fiddle tune before concluding with Beethoven’s monumental, warm-hearted, and profound String Quartet in E-flat major, Op. 127, written during the composer’s later years.
The program will be performed by Palaver musicians Grant Houston, Maya French, Brianna Fischler, and Nicholas Johnson.
Tickets are $30 and must be purchased in advance. Seating is limited. Children under 12 attend free with a paid adult. Please note children attending when purchasing tickets. All sales are final.
