The Pemaquid Group of Artists announces a call for artists to exhibit this coming season at Pemaquid Art Gallery at Lighthouse Park, Bristol. The gallery is celebrating its 90th season in operation this year. The residency requirement has been expanded to include all of Lincoln County. The gallery, open from early June until Columbus Day, is located at Lighthouse Park at Pemaquid Point, which is a popular attraction for thousands of visitors in the summer in Maine.
Recent work of interested artists will be juried on Saturday, April 21. Each candidate must submit three framed original works of art and a short resume, and complete a short application available for download at pemaquidartgallery.com under “2018 Call for Artists.” Artwork will be accepted in watercolor, gouache, oil, pastel, acrylic, marquetry, and sculpture.
Pemaquid Art Gallery will open the season on Sunday, June 3 with a reception open to the public from 5:30-7 p.m. at the art gallery at Lighthouse Park in Bristol. Call Pemaquid Art Gallery Board President Will Kefauver at 226-0974 with any questions or to apply for membership.
