The Hall Gallery at LincolnHealth – Miles Campus in Damariscotta is presenting a show of the digital photographs of Patrick Conlin through Friday, March 17. Patrick is a 14-year-old homeschooled ninth-grader and self-taught photographer from Boothbay. He is the youngest person ever to be given his own art show in the Hall Gallery.
Patrick draws inspiration for his black-and-white and color photos from nature, architecture, Maine scenes, and a recent trip to West Texas. He developed an interest in photography in 2016 and took these pictures using his iPhone. He has long been interested in art, having taken many classes from Brady Nickerson, of Edgecomb, over the years.
When not capturing images with his smartphone, Patrick enjoys studying herpetology, boxing, running cross-country, and ice skating. He is an avid outdoorsman who loves to hike, kayak, camp, and has twice climbed Mount Katahdin. Patrick hopes to be able to purchase a digital camera from the sale of his photos, and a portion of the proceeds from sales will benefit LincolnHealth – Miles Campus.
The framed photographs may be purchased for $75 each, and custom sizes are also available for order by contacting Patrick at 350-7115 or 633-2194.
