The work of Rachael Richmond, a local artist, will hang in the hall gallery at LincolnHealth’s Miles Campus in Damariscotta from Saturday, Sept. 7 through Oct. 18.
Richmond lives in Jefferson with her husband and two children, and teaches art and the gifted and talented at Jefferson Village School.
Richmond’s work is done in watercolor and consists mainly of animals such as fish, shellfish, and birds. She gets her inspiration from fishing in both Maine and Florida, her family’s farm, and her parents’ home in Little Deer Isle.
Richmond and her husband both attended the University of Southern Maine and received degrees in art education and fine arts, respectively, and her daughter is attending USM, pursuing a degree in art education.
Richmond has previously had work shown at Rising Tide Co-op in Damariscotta and Pope Memorial Humane Society in Thomaston.
LincolnHealth’s Miles Campus is located at 35 Miles St., Damariscotta.
