The Shottery Gallery of Art in New Harbor will open on Saturday, June 15 for its 21st year. Joy Shott, a longtime signature member of the American Watercolor Society and the National Watercolor Society, is exhibiting landscapes, still life, florals, and marine paintings, along with prints and notecards.
Once again, in the gallery will be bed quilts and small pictorial quilts by Robin Shott. The delicately stitched quilts of birds, nature, and marine life are ready for hanging. Larger bed quilts, with unique patterns and coloration, can be opened up or are pictured in a notebook.
New this year, by invitation, several local artists will be featured. Their subject matter is varied and exciting, plus, there is no commission taken on sales.
The Shottery Gallery of Art is located at 97 Pemaquid Trail in New Harbor (Bristol). Surrounded by roses in an English cottage garden, the gallery and studio are usually open from 1-5 p.m. daily.
