Johnny Depp returns to the big screen as the iconic, swashbuckling anti-hero Jack Sparrow in “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,” playing this week at The Harbor Theatre.
Deadly ghost sailors escape from the Devil’s Triangle bent on killing every pirate at sea. Jack’s only hope of survival lies in finding the legendary “Trident of Poseidon,” but to find it he must forge an uneasy alliance with a brilliant and beautiful astronomer and a headstrong young sailor in the Royal Navy. Capt. Jack seeks to reverse his recent spate of ill fortune and save his life from the most formidable and malicious foe he has ever faced.
In addition to Depp, the film stars Javier Bardem, Brenton Thwaites, Kaya Scodelario, Kevin McNally, and Geoffrey Rush.
“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” is rated PG-13 and has a running time of 135 minutes. It plays nightly at 7 p.m., May 25-June 8, and at 2 p.m. on Sundays, May 28 and June 4.
