After a successful debut in the fall, Barn Door Baking Co. restarted its weekend “open bakery” hours Saturday and Sunday, April 7 and 8.
Opened by longtime friends Andrea “Annie” Leck and Crystal Berg in the fall of 2016, Barn Door Baking Co. operates out of the barn attached to Crissy’s Breakfast and Coffee Bar, at 212 Main St. in Damariscotta. The two businesses also share kitchen space.
With Damariscotta Pumpkinfest in the rearview mirror and wedding season winding to a close, Berg and Leck decided to try having open bakery days on Saturdays and Sundays in the fall. The venture, which ran from mid-October through the end of 2017, was incredibly popular.
Berg and Leck the duo decided to restart the open bakery days in the spring, this time without an end date.
Barn Door Baking Co. will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekends with a selection of both sweet and savory baked goods available for purchase. While customer favorites, including croissants and cinnamon buns, will likely be on the shelves, the offerings will vary from day to day.
