A popular Damariscotta restaurant has closed pending a “staffing reorganization.”
A sign on the door of Crissy’s Breakfast and Coffee Bar, at 212 Main St. in Damariscotta, announced the restaurant’s closure Tuesday, July 26.
“Crissy’s is undergoing a staffing reorganization in effort to better serve our customers,” the sign reads. “We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and we will keep you posted on our progress.”
A similar message is displayed on the business’s website at cbandcb.com. A help wanted advertisement for Crissy’s in this week’s edition lists openings for a line cook, dishwasher, baker, and host/bus person.
Originally opened by Crissy DeOnis in 2010, Crissy’s offers breakfast and a limited lunch menu, as well as a variety of baked goods and a full coffee bar.
Colleen Kelly, of Damariscotta, took over the restaurant in January after purchasing the building and business.
All existing bakery orders will be fulfilled as scheduled, Kelly said. Orders can be picked up at the delivery entrance near the parking lot.
