A popular Damariscotta restaurant will soon reopen under new management.
Heidi Smith, of Waldoboro, has applied for a liquor license from the town of Damariscotta for Crissy’s Breakfast and Coffee Bar at 212 Main St.
According to the application, the opening date is scheduled for October.
The public hearing for the liquor license is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 21 during the Damariscotta Board of Selectmen’s meeting.
Originally opened by Crissy DeOnis in 2010, Crissy’s offers breakfast and a limited lunch menu, as well as a variety of baked goods and a full coffee bar.
Colleen Kelly, of Damariscotta, took over the restaurant in January after purchasing the building and business.
The restaurant closed in late July, originally citing the need for a “staffing reorganization.”
Almost two weeks after the restaurant closed, an advertisement listing the space as available for lease was placed in The Lincoln County News.
