Mexicali Blues in Newcastle recently teamed up with Go Big for Hunger to raise money while cruising and grooving to a Grateful Dead cover band in Casco Bay. The Maine brand’s second annual Cruise for a Cause charity event raised over $8,500, with 100% of the money benefiting Go Big For Hunger’s mission of ending childhood hunger in Maine.
Each year the local Maine brand invites customers, employees, and friends on a fun-filled boat cruise to raise money and awareness for a local cause. “This year’s cause, helping to end childhood hunger in Maine, was a resounding call-to-action for every Mexicali customer,” said Pete Erskine, founder-owner of Maine-based Mexicali Blues.
