Charlyn Foster, of J. Edward Knight Insurance in New Harbor, recently presented a check for $500 to Marilee Harris, director of Stepping Stone Housing Inc.
Stepping Stone Housing is a local, volunteer-run, grassroots group dedicated to helping those who earn less than a living wage find housing as a stepping stone to a better life. The organization has been providing affordable transititonal and permanent housing since 2013.
The employees of J. Edward Knight Insurance contribute each week for Friday dress-down day. Every two months, one office contributes to a local charity or nonprofit in its area.
