The BugTussle Annex, a new full-service, high-tech co-work and meeting space in downtown Waldoboro, will have an open house on Saturday, Nov. 24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. as part of the planned Small Business Saturday event.
Located at 251 Jefferson St., on the third floor of the Jefferson Street Professional Building, the BugTussle Annex offers 3,500 square feet of state-of-the-art co-working amenities, including a range of comfortable shared open work areas, carrels, private desks, semiprivate and private cubicles, and private offices. Both shared and dedicated workstations are available to members, as are high-speed fiber broadband and Wi-Fi, multiple black-and-white and color printing technologies, document copying and scanning, and other typical business office necessities.
A large conference room is available, equipped with advanced projection and teleconferencing capabilities. Coffee, tea, and fresh-daily baked goods are available on site or very nearby.
The BugTussle Annex offers all of these co-working services through very affordable monthly memberships, from basic open shared space to completely private offices, ranging in price from $80 per month to $350 per month, on a month-to-month basis, with no lease required. One can have 24/7/365 access for a slightly additional cost. Seasonal half-day, full-day, and weekly Wi-Fi passes are also available.
The BugTussle Annex also offers a highly configurable, medium-sized meeting venue for both public and private events, meetings, seminars, retreats, fundraisers, recitals, concerts, and other group gatherings for up to 100 people. Large-format video and movie projection equipment can be provided for use in this larger space. Event catering by very highly regarded Laura Cabot Catering is also available by separate arrangement.
Starting in early December, evening yoga classes are also going to be offered, led by experienced certified local instructors.
Seth Hall, managing member of S & J Llama LLC, said the intention in creating this facility is to support both local and regional individuals, telecommuters, professionals, startups, nonprofits, and companies needing flexible, configurable space on a short- or long-term basis. Off-site team building and staff meetings for local companies are also perfect uses for this type of space. The shared co-work spaces are especially useful for collaborations and brainstorming.
S & J Llama LLC is a small, family-owned business located in Waldoboro, primarily engaged in the rehabilitation and rental of properties in Midcoast Maine.
