Oxbow Brewing Company has released Catalyst, its first bottle of the year. The barrel-aged farmhouse ale features estate honey from its farmhouse brewery located in Newcastle. The brewery will donate $1 from the sale of each bottle from both of its tasting rooms, at 274 Jones Woods Road in Newcastle and at 49 Washington Ave. in Portland, to Midcoast Conservancy through Sunday, Jan. 15. Oxbow is proud to support the conservancy’s mission to promote healthy lands, waters, wildlife, and people in Maine’s Midcoast area.
In addition to being available in bottles to go, Catalyst is also available on draft and in bottle pours at both of Oxbow’s locations. For a complete lineup of the brewery’s rotating farmhouse ales on tap and bottles for sale, go to oxbowbeer.com.
The brewery’s Newcastle tasting room is open from noon-7 p.m., Wednesday-Sunday. Its Portland tasting room is open seven days a week — from noon-9 p.m., Sunday-Tuesday, and from noon-11 p.m., Wednesday-Saturday.
