Peapod Jewelry in Edgecomb has just released a new design featuring Maine’s beloved lupine.
From late May through the month of June, lupines beautify gardens and fields throughout the state. The inspired necklace available in sterling silver stays true to the Peapod look, enhanced with pearl and gemstone ‘peas’ that mimic the colors of the lupine flower. For the whole month of June, Peapod Jewelry will contribute $20 to Healthy Kids for every lupine necklace sold online or in the store.
Healthy Kids’ mission is to encourage, support, and promote healthy families. Healthy Kids also works to prevent child abuse and neglect in Lincoln County. One of Peapod’s goals is to support local organizations, and the business saw a parallel between the lupines and the role that Healthy Kids plays in the Midcoast.
“Lupines don’t just have amazingly vibrant flowers, they grow up strong and healthy, and ultimately that is what we want for our kids. We are hoping to help make that happen.” said Ronna Lugosch, owner of Peapod Jewelry.
The Peapod lupine necklace is now available at Peapod Jewelry, at 40 Route 1 in Edgecomb, just over the Wiscasset Bridge. Visit the store, call 882-9500, or go to peapodjewelry.com.
