Two years after opening at 519 Main St. in Damariscotta, Wasses Hot Dogs has left town after losing its lease on the property.
The stand was located on the property at the intersection of Biscay Road and Main Street, across Biscay Road from McDonald’s. The location is the future site of a Dollar General store and a Sherwin-Williams store.
The Wasses building has been removed from the property and is now for sale in Rockland and listed on Craigslist, according to the manager of the Damariscotta location, Joe Talbot. The building is fully equipped and can be hooked up to water, electric, and sewer.
“We don’t really know what’s going to happen right now, but we are selling the building,” Talbot said.
