A Wiscasset man was summonsed for driving to endanger following a single-vehicle rollover on Foye Road in Wiscasset the afternoon of Sunday, Nov. 29. Caleb P. Libby, 24, of Wiscasset, was issued the summons after voluntarily submitting to an intoxication test at Two Bridges Regional Jail, which came back negative, Wiscasset Police Chief Troy Cline said.
High Stakes for Annual Legislative Tour of Jail
An annual tour of Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset for local legislators will have special meaning this year and, for the first time in the history of the tour, the public is invited to attend. Scheduled for Friday, Dec. 11, the tour has previously focused on the budget crunch created by the lack of promised state funding for flagship jails, or jails that house out-of-county inmates, through the now-defunct Maine Board of Corrections.

RSU 12 Pre-Kindergarten Grant in Jeopardy
A federal preschool expansion grant awarded to RSU 12 in December 2014 for a five-year period has been eliminated from the preliminary federal budget for fiscal year 2016 to 2017.
