Obstructions to Wiscasset Municipal Airport’s flight path from trees growing in the Chewonki Campground was an issue that could have easily been resolved decades ago, former airport manager Ervin Deck previously said. Now it is the center of an emotional conflict between the campground and the airport with supporters of both organizations agreeing the solution will not be easy.
Wiscasset Selectmen Gridlocked on Foreclosures
Residents piled in to the Wiscasset Board of Selectmen’s Tuesday, Oct. 6 meeting to hear about potential action the town would take on its foreclosed-on properties. After a legal overview and review of the town’s tax-acquired property policy by attorney Wendy J. Paradis, selectmen failed to reach agreement on a course of action to take to exercise their right to dispose of property long-delinquent on its tax bills.

The Cars that Changed America Tour Lincoln County
Traffic moved slowly on Lincoln County’s back roads from Sept. 9-13 as 53 Model T Fords traveled 25-30 mph through the county as part of the 30th annual Mainely T Tour. The Model T Ford, manufactured from 1908-1927, revolutionized the economy of the United States and brought the world into the automotive age.
