Emergency Response to Chemical Spill at Molnlycke Tested
Sirens blared from Molnlycke Health Care’s manufacturing facility off of Old Ferry Road in Wiscasset on Sept. 23. Employees evacuated, the switchboard at Lincoln County 9-1-1 lit up, and a multi-agency response to a report of a chemical spill ensued.

Breast Cancer Survivor to Run NYC Marathon
Bridget Widmaier has participated in the New York City marathon twice. The first time, in 1995, she stopped during mile 18 and did not cross the finish line. She finished the race the following year, unaware she was two months pregnant at the time. On Nov. 1, she will participate for a third time, this time as a breast cancer survivor.
