Edgecomb was host to the first member-owned solar farm in Maine. Wiscasset may soon follow suit and become home to Lincoln County’s second solar farm. Hans Albee, of ReVision Energy, met with the Wiscasset Planning Board Monday, Aug. 31 to discuss a proposed 132- to 165-panel solar array to be located at the Morris Farm.

Police Arrest Pair, Seek Third Suspect in String of Break-ins
Maine State Police arrested two Biddeford men and are seeking a third man in connection to more than 25 burglaries at businesses this year, including in the midcoast.

Knox County Law Enforcement Requests Public’s Help
Knox County law enforcement agencies, including the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and the Camden, Rockland, Rockport, and Thomaston police departments, are requesting the public’s help regarding burglaries at local businesses.
Dresden Fines Gravel Pit Owner
The Dresden Planning Board has fined a Ludwig Road gravel pit owner for violating a stop-work order, although the owner denies knowingly violating the order.
The Cars that Changed America Tour Lincoln County
Traffic moved slowly on Lincoln County’s back roads from Sept. 9-13 as 53 Model T Fords traveled 25-30 mph through the county as part of the 30th annual Mainely T Tour. The Model T Ford, manufactured from 1908-1927, revolutionized the economy of the United States and brought the world into the automotive age.

Woman Rolls Car After Falling Asleep in Nobleboro
A woman escaped with minor scratches when she rolled her car after falling asleep at the wheel in Nobleboro late Thursday afternoon, Sept. 24, according to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office personnel.

Two Bridges Regional Jail Skirts State Funding
More than two months into the fiscal year, the Lincoln-Sagadahoc Multicounty Jail Authority approved a “bare-bones” budget for 2015-2016 at its Tuesday, Sept. 15 meeting. The uncertainty surrounding the state funding formula for county jails in recently enacted legislation prevented the previous development of a budget for the full fiscal year, forcing Two Bridges Regional Jail to operate on a monthly budget.
