A couple from Hampden were both arrested in recent days after a woman allegedly ran the man over after she walked in on him allegedly attempting to sexually assault a 12-year-old girl, according to a press release from Lincoln County Sheriff’s Lt. Michael Murphy.

Edgecomb School Committee Requests 2.4 Percent Budget Increase
The Edgecomb School Committee submitted a budget of approximately $2.15 million to the budget committee Monday, March 9. Despite the previously stated hopes for a decrease in the school budget, Eddy School’s budget for the 2015-2016 fiscal year is a 2.4 percent increase from the previous year.

An Edgecomb man has been indicted on charges of aggravated assault, a class B felony; and domestic violence assault on a child less than six years old, a class C felony, for allegedly striking a 20-month-old toddler in the face and pulling his arm, causing broken bones.
