“Calendar Girls” opened last weekend at The Portland Players. For local actress Nancy Durgin, of Wiscasset, it was a first. Based on the 2003 film by the same name, “Calendar Girls” tells the story of a group of women who persuade each another to pose for a charity calendar – in the nude.

Edgecomb Man’s Sentence for OUI Difficult Decision for Court
In an emotional day in court Thursday, Feb. 5, an Edgecomb man received his sentence for a misdemeanor OUI charge stemming from a 2013 incident that critically injured his best friend. Drew Wallace, 25, of Edgecomb, was sentenced to 364 days in jail with all but 30 days suspended and one year of probation.
