NWS Upgrades Advisory on Groundhog Day Storm
The National Weather Service has upgraded a winter storm watch to a winter storm warning in regard to the next snowstorm forecast to visit Lincoln County, on Groundhog Day, Monday, Feb. 2. This event is forecast to bring snowfall, heavy at times, during the day on Monday before chugging out of the area late Monday night. Temps are forecast to remain well below the freeze line, so the event should be all “light and fluffy” snowfall, with “8 to 12 inches” of accumulation forecast by the NWS.
