NWS Issues Alert: Next Storm on Friday
Updated 1/29 at 11:10 a.m. — Winter Storm Watch upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning, in effect from Friday at 3 a.m. to Saturday at 10 a.m. Estimated accumulation 8 to 12 inches, according to the NWS.
Lincoln County residents were still digging out from the most recent nor’easter when the National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Watch for the next event, due to arrive in the early morning hours of Friday and bring more snowfall to the area through Saturday morning.

NWS: Heaviest Snowfall Due for Sat. Afternoon, Evening Hours
A bulletin issued by the National Weather Service at 12:48 p.m. on Saturday advises that the heaviest snowfall is yet to come for Lincoln County. According to the NWS, the storm center will track, “close enough to the coast to bring a period of heavy snow to the area, mainly Saturday afternoon and evening.” The NWS has also raised the estimate of snowfall totals for Lincoln County from 4 to 8 inches to 6 to 10 inches.

A 38-year-old convicted sex offender is barred from having a computer and going online for the next year after he pleaded guilty Wednesday afternoon to harassing young girls by contacting them on Facebook and Instagram even after they told him to stop.
