Major Storm Looms For Tuesday
Updated 1/25 at 10:57 p.m. – The National Weather Service has upgraded the weather alert to a Blizzard Warning, which is in effect from 10 p.m. Monday to 4 a.m. Wednesday. “Snow will spread into the area… And will likely be heavy at times during the day Tuesday… Winds will be strong on and near the coast… Producing blizzard conditions,” according to the NWS.
Forecasters are in agreement that a major storm will plow through Lincoln County beginning late Monday night and continuing into Tuesday night, bringing the possibility of heavy snowfall, high winds and blizzard conditions.

Even as Snowfall Moves In, Friday Storm Still Taking Shape
A storm expected to visit Lincoln County beginning in the morning hours of Friday has been a tough one as far as forecasters are concerned. It’s a fast moving clipper from the Canadian side of the border that will either breeze through, leaving a minimal amount of snowfall accumulation; or slow down a bit to suck up energy and moisture from the Gulf Stream, making for significantly more snowfall. There’s also a possibility that temps may slide above freezing in the afternoon hours, bringing on the chance of sleet or freezing rain. Either way, Friday will be a day of unsettled weather, with snowfall and blustery winds.
