With the sudden death of Tony Trippi, the carpentry teacher at the Bath Regional Career and Technical Center, a community has come together to help complete a project he and his students began prior to his death.

Dresden voters will meet on Saturday, June 14, at Pownalborough Hall, beginning at 9 a.m. to take care of town business. The voters will face 52 articles on their town warrant.

At Somerville’s annual open town meeting June 21, voters opted to change the town’s treasurer, tax collector, and town clerk positions from elected to appointed positions and passed a $421,033 budget with no votes in opposition.

Saturday, June 14, just over 3,000 hunters will find out if they will be taking part in what many call the “hunt of a lifetime.”

Outgoing Waldoboro Selectman James Bodman showed up at his final board meeting June 10 in a tuxedo complete with bow tie and coattails, and called fellow board members on the carpet with allegations they discussed town business outside official meetings.

Damariscotta voters elected write-in candidate Angela Russ to a three-year term on the Great Salt Bay School Committee June 10. Russ defeated Dana Orenstein 80-29.

The Wiscasset Board of Selectmen was split on approving the Wiscasset Airport Master Plan at its meeting June 3.

Voters in RSU 40 will have to meet again Thursday, June 12 to correct some figures in one budget article adopted at the district’s budget meeting held May 27.
