Meeting for the final time in 2013 on Dec. 28, the Lincoln County Commissioners voted to spend $1000 to help begin a shuttle service from Wiscasset to Boothbay.
Information Contact Established for Those in Need of Warming
The Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency has designated a single telephone number for use by any Lincoln County resident in need of warming during the current wave of power outages. That telephone number is 882-7332, according to Tod Hartung of the LCEMA. Communications officers at the Lincoln County Communications Center will answer the number and refer callers to the appropriate resource, Hartung said.
Arrest Expected Related to Cat Killed with Arrow
The Waldoboro Police Department is expecting to make an arrest in the case of a cat pierced with an arrow that later died, according to Chief Bill Labombarde.
Bristol to Hold Special Town Meeting

Power outages in Lincoln County are on the rise again, with over 25% of Lincoln County households suffering from power outages according to a report from Central Maine Power issued at 11:34 a.m. on Tuesday.

Thousands Without Power on Christmas Day

After an ice storm that never seemed to end, thousands of Lincoln County residents were coping with power outages that may continue through Friday, according to a Christmas Day report from Central Maine Power. A total of 4329 Lincoln County households spent Christmas morning without power, according to CMP. That number had been reduced only slightly to 3904 by 3:04 p.m., according to CMP. As the Christmas Day sunshine began to fade, it was likely that many of these homes will remain without power through a night with low temps forecast at 13 degrees, despite the best efforts of CMP.

In a phone interview Dec. 10, Lemar said he paid $43,000 for the building. “I think it’s a fair price because it needs a lot of work,” Lemar said. “Basically I got a cement build with siding.”
Damariscotta Selectmen Endorse Fundraising Effort for Parking Lot
