NWS Warns of Increasingly Higher Winds on Sun.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory that warns of increasingly higher winds into Sunday afternoon. Winds are forecast to increase during Sunday afternoon to a sustained velocity of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up 50 mph. Winds of this velocity are expected to bring down trees and limbs, causing power outages and other damage.
Update – One LC Home Still Without Power on Thanksgiving
Following a wind and rain storm that battered Lincoln County on Wednesday, Central Maine Power Co. had restored power to all Lincoln County households just in time for Thanksgiving — all except for one. Located on coastal Pine Cliff Rd. in Southport, the single residence was the only one without power according to the 10:19 a.m. update on the CMP website.
