A Southport man with a history of philanthropy in the Boothbay region has purchased the Boothbay Country Club. Paul Coulombe, the former CEO of White Rock Distillery in Lewiston, is the new owner of the Boothbay Country Club, according to a statement from the Knickerbocker Group of Boothbay, which is representing Coulombe in the matter.

Reports of Power Outages on Increase
The number of households in Lincoln County with storm related power outages has doubled in the past several hours, with 652 homes now affected, according to Central Maine Power. The majority of the outages are still in the Boothbay Harbor area, according to CMP.
