The person killed in a head-on collision in Waldoboro Friday has been identified as Lois Sparks, 70, of Portland, according to Waldoboro Police Chief Bill Labombarde. Sparks was in a pick-up truck driven by her son Murray Sparks and accompanied by his wife Joely, also of Portland, when they were involved in a head-on collision with a vehicle driven by Marie Tysinger of Waldoboro, according to Labombarde.
