Wiscasset Executive Assistant Lisa Garman and other leaders in the Wiscasset area distributed Thanksgiving baskets to needy community members Nov. 23. The baskets, donated by local organizations and businesses, contained a free Thanksgiving dinner to families and individuals who would otherwise not be able to afford it.

Wiscasset And Edgecomb Look For Solutions Post-Bypass
The Wiscasset and Edgecomb Boards of Selectmen met with officials of the Maine Department of Transportation on the Chewonki campus in Wiscasset Nov. 14 to develop plans for reducing congestion on Rt. 1. The meeting follows the DOT’s formal decision to end development of the long-discussed Wiscasset bypass last summer.
