A veteran Maine State Trooper and Nobleboro resident was arrested on Nov. 24 on two felony charges: tampering with a witness and unlawful sexual contact with a child.
Arrowsic Man Accused Of Unlawful Sexual Touching Arrested Again
An Arrowsic man facing 44 counts of unlawful sexual contact with a minor in Boothbay was re-arrested by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office on Dec. 8 and charged with gross sexual assault, according to records at Two Bridges Regional Jail and Lincoln County Superior Court, both in Wiscasset.

Wiscasset Board Of Selectmen Approves Oxxfest Permit
During their regular meeting Dec. 7, the Wiscasset Board of Selectmen approved a Special Amusement Permit for the return of Oxxfest, a hard rock festival that drew over 10,000 concertgoers to the town in July.
Guilty Plea In Waldoboro Horse Abuse Case
Donald Genthner, the Rockland man charged with abusing horses on a Waldoboro farm last fall, pleaded guilty to five counts of misdemeanor animal abuse on Nov. 29 in Lincoln County Superior Court in Wiscasset.
Whitefield Board Resolves Fire And Ice Issues
The plan for building Whitefield’s fire station will be adjusted and snow removal will be far superior to the performance on Dec. 6, the day of the first winter storm. Because the snowplow contractor provided too few trucks last Monday, driving conditions on the icy Mills Road in particular sent several motorists and a fire truck skidding onto the shoulder.
