Waldoboro Police Update
In the Waldoboro Police Report, originally posted Nov. 17, Waldoboro police reported Kevin Brewer, 51, was arrested Nov. 9 on a charge of cultivating marijuana. Brewer was however, arrested Nov. 9 on a charge related to unpaid fines.
The Waldoboro Police regrets the error.
Edgecomb Selectmen Mum On Mt. Hunger Lawsuit
During their regular meeting Nov 15, the Edgecomb Board of Selectmen refused to answer any questions surrounding a pending lawsuit concerning a gravel pit on Mt. Hunger Road. The issue arose during the public comment portion of the meeting when Edgecomb resident Jarryl Larson pleaded with the Board to disclose details on legal representation.

CMP Crews Responding To Widespread Outages
Central Maine Power Company (CMP) crews were out in full force Monday morning after strong gusty winds from a powerful coastal storm disrupted service to thousands of homes and businesses in the utility’s service area. At 9:30 a.m. Monday, an estimated 60,177 customer accounts were without service.

Public Weighs In On Sidewalk Project
About 13 Damariscotta residents attended the Nov. 17 meeting of the Damariscotta Board of Selectmen for a public hearing about the Bus. Rt. 1 sidewalk project.
The people in attendance were largely property owners or representatives of businesses in the affected area, which extends from the Damariscotta Region Information Bureau to the offices of Mobius Inc. at 319 Main Street.

Wiscasset Says ‘No’ To Equipment Purchase
Wiscasset Board of Selectmen has voted ‘no’ to an initial proposed agreement involving equipment, as part of the Boothbay Region YMCA winter facility-sharing plan. While not denying the partnership outright, both Selectmen Bob Blagdon and Nichols were opposed to an equipment purchase request in the proposed agreement.
