Elwin M. ‘Benny’ Holmes, 87, of Skowhegan, passed away on Aug. 1 at the Woodlawn Nursing Home and Rehab Center in Skowhegan, surrounded by his immediate family.

Helen Edith Hall passed away Aug. 28 at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta with her family by her side.

Ruth McDonald Roberts, 76, of Waterville, passed away Aug. 12 in Rochester, Minn., following a courageous battle with brain and lung cancer.

Alfred S. Moses, 93, a resident of Chase Point in Damariscotta and longtime resident of Southport, died Aug. 28 at the Gregory Wing in Boothbay after a period of failing health.

Marilyn J. Burkett, 76, longtime resident of Waldoboro, passed away at Ledgewood Manor Inc. Nursing Home in Windham on Aug. 16.

Nancy Standish Cain McGuire, 90, of Damariscotta, died at her home on July 25, after a long illness.

Dennis Richard Boynton, 64, of Jefferson, died unexpectedly on Aug. 29 at the MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta.
