Lorraine G. Chaples, 81, of Waldoboro, and longtime resident of New Bedford, Mass., died Feb. 4 at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport after long period of failing health.

Gerald “Old Goat” G. Miller, 75, of Wiscasset, died Feb. 22 at his home.

Erin G. Cummings, 48, of Westport Island, died Feb. 11 at a Brunswick Hospital.

Grace B. Kensell, 84, of East Boothbay, died Feb. 2 at St. Andrews Hospital in Boothbay Harbor.

Alfred S. McKay, 78, of Edgecomb, died peacefully Feb. 23 at Cove’s Edge, Damariscotta, with his family by his side.

Phyllis Lorraine Feltis, 68, of Pemaquid, passed away Feb. 11 surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with ALS, (also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease).

Dorothy L. Nickerson, 95, of Portland, formerly Edgecomb and Damariscotta Mills, passed away Feb. 1 at Maine Medical Center.

Ralph B. (Pat) Cunningham, 91, of Farmingdale, formerly of Jefferson, died Jan. 24 at the Captain Lewis Residence, his home for the last eight years.

Anna O. McPherson, 93, of Dresden, passed away on Dec. 31, 2008.

Esther Laura (Light) Jackson, 89, died Jan. 1 in Winter Garden, Fla.

Jason S. Cunningham, 33, of Waldoboro, passed away at his home on the evening of Jan. 22.

Arthur E. Tainter Jr., 55, of Waldoboro, went home to be with the Lord Jan. 16 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunwsick with his wife by his side, after a brief battle with cancer.

Robert L. Luce, 60, of Union, died Jan. 2 at his home following a five year battle with cancer.

Ann McLain, of Walpole, passed away Jan. 22 at her home, with her family by her side.
