Faith was born on July 19, 1935, in Milbridge, to Guy and Myra (Hinckley) Roberts. She graduated as class salutatorian from Milbridge High School in 1953. Graduating Gorham State Teachers College in 1957, Faith began her 27-year teaching career in Connecticut. Returning to Maine, she taught at Miller and Friendship Street schools in Waldoboro until her retirement.
