Janet Kingston Wynne was born on April 2, 1937, in Boston, Mass. to Edward J. Wynne Sr. and Charlotte K (Moore) Wynne, the only girl in a family of four children. She passed away peacefully on Feb. 25, 2024 at The Lincoln Home in Newcastle, where she had lived for eight enjoyable years.

Our beloved mom, Susanne “Sue” Friedman, died peacefully on Feb. 15, 2024 with family by her side at Harbor View Cottage in Newcastle. She was 85 years old and had been challenged by Alzheimer’s disease.

Samuel Richard Hingston, 75, of Newcastle, passed away on Feb. 7, 2024, at the Sussman House in Rockport, following a period of declining health. Born on Feb. 1, 1949 in the town of Lynn, Mass., he was the son of John and Mary Hingston, of Peabody and Topsfield, Mass.

Shale Maynard, 34, passed away at his residence in Jefferson on Feb. 11, 2024.

Anthony Stanford Hopkins, “Hop or Tony,” was born on June 6, 1959 at Miles Memorial Hospital, now LincolnHealth’s Miles Campus, in Damariscotta, to Barbara Elizabeth Ann Knott and Mahlon Hopkins. He passed away, in comfort with his family and friends, at the Maine General Medical Center in the early morning hours of Feb. 12, 2024.

Elizabeth “Beth” Ann Quivey passed away on Feb. 14, after her very long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. Beth was born on Feb. 27, 1948 in Norwood, Mass. to Mary Elizabeth “Molly” Hobbs and F. Gerard Hobbs.

Larry Dodge, 81, passed away at his home in Walpole on the morning of Feb. 11, 2024 after a long illness. Born in Damariscotta on July 9, 1942, he was the son of Charles and Martha (Laine) Dodge.

Matthew “Matt” J. Sonia, 60, of Richmond, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023. He was born on Feb. 8, 1963, in Bath, and was the son of Leon “Joe” J. Sonia and Christine C. (Charest) Sonia.

We the family are sadly announcing the passing of David D. Seigars at his home in Alna. He died at the age of 69, on Feb. 15, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones after a 14 year battle with cancer.

Timothy Allen Benner, 55 years, of Waldoboro, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Feb. 12, 2024, at Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice. He was born July 2, 1968 in Greenwich, Conn., the son of James and Mildred (Hemingway) Benner.

Richard S. Prentice Jr., 64, passed away unexpectedly on the evening of Feb. 13, 2024, at his home in Nobleboro. Born in Damariscotta on Jan. 19, 1960, he was the son of Richard Prentice Sr. and Dorothy (Sykes) Ferguson.
