There was an article in the June 26 edition that had some incorrect information and I would like to clarify the facts.

First, the many wonderful crafters and food vendors of Olde Bristol Days will be returning to the grounds of the beautiful Fort William Henry, as they have been for so many years before, the weekend of Aug. 9 and 10.

Since October of 2013, the St. Andrew’s campus has provided urgent care services to hundreds of patients 12 hours a day, every day. By definition, urgent care services provide treatment for medical problems such as an illness or injuries that need attention but are not life-threatening emergencies.

We were surprised to learn the case against Philip Cohen wrapped up earlier this month in Cumberland County. Cohen, a prominent attorney from Waldoboro, was arrested last fall for an alleged domestic violence assault.

I am sitting in my tent in Chewonki Campground in Wiscasset at 5 a.m. watching the sun come up through the trees and I am wondering if they will be here in the near future.

My great grandson and I were in a terrible car accident last week on Main Street in Wiscasset. I lost my brakes coming down over the hill and ran into another vehicle. It was such a terrifying experience.

I would like to express my opinion about the soldier who was recently rescued from his captors in Iraq. First, I am concerned about swapping five terrorists for this soldier who may have put down his weapon and deserted his post. Some of his buddies were actually killed in an attempt to rescue him.

When it comes to life’s lessons, one of the simplest is also the best: don’t do stupid things.

It comes to my attention in the lead article in the July 10, 2014 issue, “Michaud addresses VA scandal…”, that whenever Elizabeth Printy is quoted or noted, she is referred as the Finance Chairman of the Lincoln County Republicans, which she is indeed.
