Boothbay girls’ basketball team defeated St. Dom’s 43-37 Feb. 19 in a West Class C quarterfinal match-up at the Augusta Civic Center.

Team Mobius competed in the 2013 Special Olympic Winter Games at Sugarloaf on Jan. 29. Nine athletes competed in cross country skiing, downhill skiing and snowshoeing.

Medomak Valley cheerleaders brought home their first state runner-up plaque Monday night at the state championships held at the Bangor Auditorium in make-up action.

Oak Hill girls’ basketball team raided Wolverine territory Tuesday night for a 43-32 win.

Medomak Valley wrestler Cyril Miller won the 182 pound East B Wrestling title on Saturday at MCI in Pittsfield. He will be joined by four Panther teammates at the State Class B championships on Saturday at the Augusta Civic Center.

Wiscasset made several good runs at Boothbay, but were unable to close the gap Thursday night in the two teams’ Mt.Valley Conference closer. The Seahawks led 17-11, 31-24 and 54-46 at the quarter breaks.

Lincoln Academy girls’ basketball team defeated Morse 45-43 Tuesday night in Newcastle.

Seven Lincoln Academy wrestlers placed in the top four at the Western Maine Class B Regionals in Wells on Saturday to qualify for the State Class B championships to be held at the Augusta Civic Center Feb. 9.

Medomak Valley boys’ basketball team wrapped up their KVAC season on Feb. 7 with a 59-43 win over Lincoln Academy. The Panthers finish the season with a 16-2 record and seeded first in East Class B.

Oceanside rallied from seven down to beat Medomak 49-32 Tuesday night in Waldoboro.
