Mogul skier extraordinaire Shane Johnson, 18 of Waldoboro, is having a solid year on the single and dual mogul circuit this winter. He is ranked 37th in single moguls and 21st in dual moguls in the USA, including members of the U.S. Ski Team.
Camden Wins 35th Annual Rotary Tourney
Camden beat Gardiner 8th, 44-38 in the 35th annual Rotary International Girls’ Basketball Tournament held in Boothbay on March 6-8. Boothbay placed third, and Lawrence won the sportsmanship award.
CLC 3&4th Grade Travel Compete In St. George Tournament
The CLC Y 3rd and 4th grade travel team competed in the St. George basketball tournament over the weekend.

Hagar Runs Third In Season Debut
Katie Hagar ran third in her first race for NASCAR Drive for Diversity and Golden State Racing on March 21. Hagar hit the charts second fastest out of a field of 14 at Madera Speedway in practice.

Medomak Wrestlers Win Three
Medomak Middle School wrestlers defeated Ellsworth 60-24, Herman 24-7 and HAL 42-39, and lost to Camden 36-28 and Belfast 60-12 in recent meets.
Lincoln Boys Fall To Falmouth
After a one-year absence, Lincoln Academy boys’ basketball team made a short run in the West Class B playoffs at the Portland Expo. The Valentine’s Day match-up with Falmouth was not very sweet for the Eagles, who lost 68-42 in a lopsided quarterfinal game. Falmouth jumped out to a 21-6 first quarter lead, and led 29-18 at the half and 53-32 at the end of three. Falmouth was the third seed, and Lincoln the seventh seed.

PI Eliminate Lady Panthers
Third seeded Presque Isle eliminated the Lady Panthers from the East Class B tournament Friday night in Bangor, 62-34. Medomak led briefly in the first quarter when Danielle Dyer settled a three in the opening minutes. The hot shooting Wildcats of Presque Isle rattled off 10 straight points to take the lead for good.
