Family Holiday Wishes: Volunteers throughout Lincoln County are working together to provide help to those in need. Applications for holiday assistance are based on the applicant’s town: In Dresden, call Jennine of the Bridge Charitable Trust, 737-4485. In Damariscotta, Newcastle, Bremen, Jefferson, Alna, Somerville, Nobleboro, Wiscasset, Westport Island, Edgecomb, and Whitefield, contact Lincoln County Family Holiday Wishes, at 350-7799.

Toys for Tots (Lincoln): *New toys collected in the community, are distributed as Christmas gifts to children in need. For information on requesting a toy for a child, or children in another family, call 633-4757. *Not verified.

Boothbay and Boothbay HarborGarden Club Giving Tree, for Boothbay and Boothbay Harbor has toys, clothes, and books available by request for the 2010 holiday season. Call 633-3671 to make a request.

First United Methodist Church, Boothbay Harbor has Thanksgiving Dinner, served on Thurs., Nov. 25. Call 633-3414 for details.

Our Lady Queen of Peace, Boothbay Harbor has Christmas Dinner, served on Sat., Dec. 25. Call 633-6354 for details and sign up.

BristolBristol Holiday Toy Program for Bristol and South Bristol has toys, clothes, and books available by request for the 2010 holiday season. Call 677-2211 to make a request.

NobleboroNobleboro Fire Dept. has a Toy Drive. Toys available for Nobleboro residents by application, due Wed., Dec. 1. Call 563-8816 to provide child’s name, age, and address.

WaldoboroWaldoboro Police Toy Program provides toys, hats, and mittens available by application, from Nov. 30-Dec. 17. Winter boots available, if funds permit; pick up arranged prior to Christmas. Contact Melody at the Waldoboro Police Dept. at 832-4500 to complete an application.

WiscassetTown of Wiscasset has Thanksgiving Food Baskets available for Wiscasset residents by sign up before Nov. 19; pick up Nov. 23. Call 882-8200.
