Maine Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Patricia Aho will speak to the Damariscotta-Newcastle Rotary Club Tues., Nov. 26 about her agency’s enhanced efforts to steward the state’s natural resources and ensure a strong, sustainable economy.
In her remarks as the guest speaker at the local Rotary Club’s meeting at the Second Congregational Church in Newcastle, Aho, a Newcastle resident, will give an overview of the DEP’s role in providing protections for Maine’s air, land and water resources and share recent department work in the region.
She will also take questions and hear from members as to how the state environmental department can better serve their companies and their communities.
