Crews from the Central Maine Power Company have restored power to all Lincoln County households and calm has finally returned as the windstorm that buffeted the area for the past several days has finally moved out.
Hundreds of households lost power during the event. The number rose and fell every day as sustained winds in the 20 to 30 mph range, gusting to 50 mph, continued to knock down power lines almost as fast as CMP could repair them.
When the wind picked up early Sunday morning over 300 Lincoln County households without power by mid-day. By 2 p.m. on Sunday power had been restored to several hundred, with only 110 households waiting for assistance, according to CMP. However, high winds continued, and so did the outages.

CMP crews braved high winds and the danger of falling branches to return power to Lincoln County residents during the storm.
Bremen, Bristol and Newcastle were the areas hardest hit by power outages during this event, according to the CMP.
