Alna voters ratified a three-year winter roads contract with Hagar Enterprises Inc., of Damariscotta, during annual town meeting Saturday, March 21.
The contract has been a divisive issue in Alna for much of the last year.
Hagar Enterprises submitted the only bid for the work, but voters in a special town meeting last summer attempted to force the Alna Board of Selectmen to break its agreement with Hagar and negotiate with the town’s previous contractor.
