Ames True Value Hardware & Supply will host a grand re-opening event from Mon., Oct.15 to Sat., Oct. 20.
The store has been undergoing expansion and renovations since about this time last year and this is an opportunity to show appreciation for everyone putting up with the work, said co-owner Wayne Averill.
“Thanks for supporting the family into the fourth generation,” he said.
A few small things are left be done, but the work is almost complete, Averill said.
As part of the re-opening, the store will have “crazy deals in all the different departments” all week long, Averill said.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place Fri., Oct. 19 at 10 a.m., Averill said.
A cookout will be held on Saturday and the Wiscasset Fire Department will be on location from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. The firefighters will be giving out free 9V batteries for smoke detectors while they last, Averill said.
