Contrary to a rumor, Anderson Farms nursery on Rt. 1 in Edgecomb will be opening this spring, according to owner and operator Dennis Anderson.
The business held workshops in January and February but is currently open by appointment.
This week, Anderson said he, like a lot of business owners in today’s economy, are having to assess their operations and make adjustments. Presently he plans to reopen the nursery business on a regular basis to serve its long standing customers in meeting their planting needs.
The business is headquartered in a fairly new post and beam building, and the property includes several greenhouses and acreage where it raises a wide selection of plants, trees and bushes for the general public and regular buyers.
Currently the nursery is open by appointment only for landscape design or arborist services. For further information, interested persons may call 882-6200.
